Day trip to Brighton

Early June and the weather really should be better than this. Undeterred we go with Liz & Ray for a day out in Brighton. It is sunny but rather windy and the wind is on the cool side. We catch the Train in from Horley and soon arrive in Brighton where we head for the Marina on the bus. We are going to the Seattle Hotel which has a deck that over looks the Marina & the mission is to drink champagne while enjoying the view. The champagne is hideously priced so we settle of a bottle of Prosecco. However the cool wind gets the better of us so we end up indoors.
Back in the town we visit a couple of hostelries and enjoy the free music and people watch! We saw 2 wedding parties at the Town hall. One was 2 men that were just leaving in a Ferrari and a 1940's style wedding. All the guests at both made a very happy & colorful splash.

Later on we went & had fish & chips in a really great restaurant which we then had to walk off along the prom and the pier. We love Brighton A. Because it's "The seaside". B. Because there is so much to see, buildings, shops and the beach. C. It's always buzzing. D Lot's of places to eat & drink.
