Here we go on our Team building and sales meeting trip to Valencia. Ian is coming with us as he & I are staying over for the weekend. well it seems a pity to waste a good hotel & Free flight. Only one other person Simone has the sense to do the same thing. We are staying in a 5 star hotel The Westin Valencia for 2 nights & then down grade to another hotel for 2 more nights.
It is only when we are on the plane that we find out that French air traffic controllers are on strike & we have an hour delay. Arrggh. It is a late arrival flight anyway so that is bad news. Hey ho we do arrive, bags are waiting for us, have a fight with some taxi drivers who will not accept credit cards & throw some of the girls suitcases out onto the road! Thanks goodness we had the foresight to take out some euro's.
The hotel however makes up for this is is really lovely & the room is massive, apparently our room is more massive than some others as we have a sofa & coffee table. We also have a dressing room, walk in shower and large bathroom. All are meeting down stairs in the courtyard, where it is a very warm & a starry night. We have a couple of drinks & listen to the fans in the nearby football stadium. Valencia are playing Althlectico Madrid & from the noise of the crowd it must be an exciting game. At 1.30 I drag Mr F away from his new friends ( I think he wants to work for Vocollect). It is a shame to leave as we all agree that socializing on a warm summers evening is the very best thing. I however have to get up at 7am for a meeting
