Leaving the Mara

It seems to take an age to get to the airstrip, the ground is very boggy. Our plane is late & we have to make a stop in the Mara to pick up another passenger. Hurrah we get to have another view of the vast plains. A grumpy pilot passes round a margarine tub of mints (in flight meal) telling us to make sure he gets it back! Is this Kenyan Easy Jet ?– no we would have had to pay for the mint had that been the case.

All too soon we are back in Nairobi; we are collected and taken to Carnivore for lunch. Mr F is salivating at the thought of more strange animals to devour. However they do not serve game meat here. The strangest thing we have is Camel and Mr F tries an intimate part of a bull but is not impressed. Back to airport – then 1 ½ hour flight to Zanzibar – bring on the beach.
