Beautiful Buttercups.

CV19 The daily record Saturday 2nd May 2020

Day 40 of Lockdown.

Ian was not feeling too well today, might be a bout of his diverticulitis, not sure. Also his back is hurting him and he is quiet so I know he is feeling under the weather. We decide to go for a walk and get some exercise and fresh air see if that helps.
We do the Llama walk (I have yet to see any Llamas) and come back via the meadows to Seymour court road. The sun is shining and its quite warm, the meadow is full of buttercups and makes a perfect spring colour swatch of green, yellow and sky blue. I stop to take a photo and we chat to a lady walking her dog. She works for BA and is currently furloughed, although that ends on Monday, they have given her a laptop to work from home so she is hopeful that she will not be one of the ones to get redundancy. On the other hand she does not want to return and have a reduction in pay, it’s a hard one.

After doing a few exercises for his back, Ian takes it easy and chats to some of the walking group. I start to place my newly purchased plants around the garden and get them bedded in. I am feeling a bit tired after an hour or so and decide that I need a sit in the sun and an hour of reading before the Stay Inn opens.
After a few technical hitches the Stay Inn opened at 4pm and all had a jolly time. The Marlow and WSM beer gardens were open but cloudy conditions in St Merryn meant beverages were taken in the shed bar. There was a slight extension to the opening hours and food was served there was a choice of fish pie or Spag Bol.

Ian perked up after a glass or 2 of rose. We watched a film The Guernsey Literary and Potato peel pie society. Well Ian watched it I fell asleep; I had seen it before so that’s ok.

Mrs BT still brooding the eggs, they are quite spotty now but no signs of hatching. 3 years ago the chicks were already 10 days old!
