Lockdown easing starts - a bit.

CV19 The daily Record. Sunday May 10th 2020

Day 48 of Lockdown.

A lovely sunny morning and not too bad on the temperature front. This is set to change rather rapidly and the bad weather to arrive from the North. A strong wind is already underway so after breakfast we set off on a walk.
We do the Munday Dene walk, meet Stella and Brian coming back the other way, and when we get to Copy Farm we take a new path.  Up the Hill to Copy farm we can really feel the wind getting up and its getting cooler. I am glad that I brought my light fleece with me. The new path is narrow, very stony and half way down gets wet. Hmm perhaps not such a good idea, Carefully picking my way down, we soon come into a better pathway through the woods. It’s a good walk and nice to venture down somewhere new. We eventually come out into Seymour court road and continue home through the woods, past the Llamas (still not out) Seymour plain and emerge into into Oak tree road. I am very tired, now cold and glad to be home. 4.7 miles.
Not a lot else was achieved, well nothing exciting. I cleaned the bathroom and Ian made some scones and prepped dinner.

I am still not feeling that happy, not so bad as yesterday but still emotional.

The C19 symptom app randomly selected my brother to go for a test today. There was hardly anyone at the testing station. He has no symptoms it was a random thing.

The Blue tits are coming along nicely are getting plenty of food. We struggle to count them perhaps there are 9 definitely 7. They fight for supremacy and clamber over each other. When the wind got strong the mother hunkered down on them to keep them safe and warm. Their eyes have not yet opened.

Dinner was Thai Prawn Massaman curry with pilau rice. It was lovely.

Hmm scones and curry, let alone the wine that has been consumed this last week. My scales are not going to tell a good story in the morning.

Lockdown update.

The latest update from Boris is rather confusing. It needs a bit more definition that will hopefully come after PMs questions and the daily briefing on Monday.

Key points are.

Stay at home as much as possible.
Work from home if you can.
Limit contact with other people.
Keep the 2 metre distance when outside of your family members.
Wash your hands regularly.
Do not use public transport unless you have too, to get to work.
Anyone who can’t work from home is encouraged to go back to work from Monday. This does not mean shops or hairdressers though, industry based people.
Unlimited outdoor exercise will be permitted from Wednesday. Sports such as Golf and tennis can happen but only with family members.
Plans to slowly reopen schools from June and Pubs and restaurants from July at the earliest.
The key to controlling this is to keep the R number down, if the R number rise above 1 lockdown will recommence.

Scotland and Wales have kept the stay at home slogan and are unhappy with the PM and the easing strategy.
