Just ticking along

Covid 19 The daily Record 3rd and 4th April 2020.

Sorry I did not report yesterday, I was not feeling so good, nothing to worry about just got a bit stressed I think.

We did not do much on Friday as Ian was feeling tired. Some of the people we have been talking to are also feeling tired and lethargic. It might be that we are spending more time staring at screens. We are not watching any more TV than normal but a lot of time on the ipad, phone and computer.

Friday was chilly but the sun came out eventually in the late afternoon. We amused ourselves doing a quiz, cryptic clues about sweets and chocolates. Also finished off Jon’s 3rd quiz. Don’t think we will fare too well on this one.

Friday I picked up after a decent walk, see I just needed to blow off some steam and cobwebs. We walked along Seymour Park road and up Munday Dean. Got our calf and cardio workout up the hill, then back down through Marlow woods. We went out early, even though it was chilly and very misty, as the sun was forecast to come out and with it probably a lot of weekend walkers.
We have been instructed to stay at home this weekend. Matt Hancock, Secretary of state for health and social care said on Fridays daily Bulletin” Stay at home this weekend, this is not a request it is an instruction” Quite hard hitting. Lets see if he is obeyed. If not harder lockdown measures will follow, I’m sure.
The news continues to worsen and returning from our walk we learn that a neighbour has passed away.

We complete a few garden jobs, I finish off the flowerbed edging and Ian sorts out one or two things. I need to do some weeding but the green bin is fill to the brim & also too heavy to move. I will have to find a place to store some for a while.
The sun is shining and we don our shorts and open up the “Staying Inn” and have a chat and a drink with our friends. Tomorrow looks like a hot sunny day here in Marlow, so we are going to just stay at home and read and relax. Oh and watch the Good Karma hospital too.

The queen is to address the nation this evening.

The Blue Tits have finished the nest and one of them actually spent the night in it on Friday. We don’t expect any eggs for a week or so but will let you know when any appear.

Chicken Fajitas for dinner followed by Champagne truffles that we bought to take to Sarah & Jon’s (sorry S&J)
