Covid 19 The daily record April 5th 2020.
Its been raining a bit overnight, the sky is grey and overcast. It supposed to be a bright hot sunny day, well its only just turned 7am. I think I might still need to water the lawn later though.
I have been planting seeds, bulbs and tubers. Nasturtiums (don’t like them much but needs must) some dahlias and lilies. This is an attempt to have some colour in pots later in the year. Many nurseries are going to be in trouble, they are reporting that they will have to destroy the plants as there is nowhere to sell them. Why don’t they open the garden centres like they do a supermarkets, in a controlled fashion.
We had a very quiet day yesterday, did a bit around the garden but mainly read and relaxed in the sun. It actually felt like a normal Sunday. Until we switched on the TV. We did not go out for a walk as feared too many people about.
It was a sunny warm but windy day, it was nice for a little escape from the outside world.
The Blue tits continue to titivate their new home but no other news on them.
It is so lovely and quiet here, no planes, well so few you hardly notice them. No traffic, no school run or Monday morning rat run past the house. It’s so peaceful.
